Core Values

You hold within your subconscious values which define who you are. These Core Values embody what is most important to you, they are your inner gauge of what is right and what is wrong for you. They are linked to the uniqueness of your essential self. They are your truth. When you cannot access your truth, you end up feeling blocked, confused and frustrated.

For some, their Core Values are so important to them that they could even kill or die for their top two or three. For example, a parent may kill to protect their child. Equally, the source of most religious wars comes down to the belief (albeit misguided) that the perpetrators are honouring their highest values.

When you make decisions or pursue a goal that is contrary to your value system you will struggle and eventually fail. This may take days, weeks or years, but it is inevitable.

When you ignore your truth and live a life guided by external dictates and social conditioning, you eventually feel very empty and dissatisfied. When work and relationships seem unfulfilling and you feel powerless to change things you don’t like, compulsive behaviour and addictions can take hold. You become at risk for illness, depression and "seeming" accidents.

Your life's purpose is linked to your Core Values. When you honour your highest values, your purpose becomes clear, since you are expressing who you truly are at your deepest level. When you are aligned with your purpose your life becomes more fulfilling. You are able to achieve your goals more quickly and easily as you are more focused and your intentions are clear.

Values are ranked in a hierarchy, and when you honour your highest values, you automatically honour those lower down the hierarchy. Focus on your highest values and you simplify your life in a way that best supports your essential self. Decision making becomes effective and easy and you are able to peacefully resolve conflict. Relationships improve and you become more fulfilled in your work and day to day life.
